Trauma

Trauma is very misunderstood.  We all have experienced trauma in our lives to some degree.  It may be the death of a relative or being embarrassed as a child or betrayed by a friend.  We all have learned to cope psychologically with our traumas, but unhealthy coping often leads to serious other issues such as physical discomfort, troubled relationships, substance abuse, cutting, or living on the edge.

Grief & loss

When you lose someone you love, you might feel empty, depressed, constantly thinking about your loved one, guilty, bitter or angry and it might seem like there is no point.

If you are having a hard time remembering the good times, finding joy in life, or going back to your routine, you are not alone.

EMDR

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. EMDR is an evidence based form of therapy effective in treating trauma.

If you tried talk therapy and you have not experienced the change you were hoping, then EMDR might be the modality for you.
