Panic attacks

Break Free From the Fear

Panic attacks are terrifying. Your heart races, you can't breathe, you're convinced you're dying or losing your mind. And then the real prison begins: the fear of the next one.

You start avoiding situations where you've panicked before. You become hyperaware of every sensation in your body, scanning for signs that it's happening again. You might stop driving, stop going to crowded places, stop living fully—because what if you panic?

Traditional therapy might help you understand your triggers and teach you breathing exercises. For some people, that's enough. But if you've been doing that for months (or years) and you're still imprisoned by panic? EMDR 2.0 offers a different path.

What is EMDR 2.0?

EMDR 2.0 is an accelerated approach to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing specifically designed for panic and anxiety. Instead of spending weeks talking about why you panic, we target the root causes—the memories, beliefs, or sensations that trigger your nervous system's alarm—and reprocess them.

It's faster than traditional therapy. It doesn't require you to relive every panic attack in detail. And it often works when other methods haven't.

How it works:

While you think about the panic (or the fear of panic), I'll guide your eyes back and forth (or use bilateral sounds/taps). This helps your brain reprocess the triggers so they stop setting off your alarm system.

It's not comfortable—you have to engage with the panic to resolve it. But it's effective.

What EMDR 2.0 Requires

Willingness to face the panic. You can't heal from panic by avoiding it. During processing, you'll need to think about the sensations, the thoughts, the terror—while we use bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess it.

Trust in the process. EMDR can feel strange. You might not understand how moving your eyes back and forth could possibly help. But if you're willing to suspend disbelief and try it, you'll likely be surprised by the results.

Learning to communicate about your fear. If you're terrified of facing the panic, tell me. If you think this won't work, tell me. If you're skeptical, tell me. I can work with all of that—what makes therapy impossible is when you say you're fine but then stop engaging.

You don't have to be brave. You just have to be willing to try, even when you're scared.

Is EMDR 2.0 Right for You?

EMDR 2.0 might be a good fit if:

  • Traditional therapy hasn't worked well enough

  • You're tired of managing panic and ready to eliminate it

  • You're willing to engage with the fear in order to resolve it

  • You can learn to communicate when you're getting overwhelmed

It might not be right if:

  • You're not willing to face the panic at all yet

  • You're looking for a method with zero discomfort

  • You need medication management (I don't prescribe, though you can do EMDR alongside medication)
